BCAF Shochugeiko registration is open!

We're excited to host BCAF Shochugeiko (mid-summer intensive training) in Squamish again this year—from July 25 to 27!
Registration is now open!

We’re thrilled to welcome two new BC Shidoins as guest instructors:

  • Valentine Kabanets Shidoin from Vancouver West Aikikai

  • Martin Moreau Shidoin from Rock Water Aikikai

There will also be a kids class on Saturday for students who are orange belt and up or 8 years old and older. This class will be led by Ella Moreau Sensei,  who started Aikido at age 7 and has been supporting the kids program in her dojo for many years. Ella—is going to be a great inspiration for our young students!

This amazing class will be followed by a youth/adult class led by Martin Sensei, a long-time kids' instructor and strong supporter of youth in Aikido across Canada.

We look forward to training with you this summer!

Aikido practitioners gather from far and wide to train together during the last half hour of the year and first half hour of the next. After class they celebrate the start of the year with light snacks and Japanese sake.
