What is Shochugeiko?
Shochugeiko (暑中稽古) is Japanese for “mid-summer martial arts training.” Training during adverse conditions, when the world is sunny and extremely hot, encourages both an improvement in physical skills and discipline for the mind. Often, the greatest obstacle to going to the dojo to attend class arises there – in the mind. Shochugeiko creates the expectation that you WILL go to class, and the resulting sense of accomplishment can provide clarity and bring new direction to your training.

Whole Event: $150 for adults, $100 for 12-18 YRS or Youth 5th kyu and up
Single Day: $30 for Friday, $90 for Saturday, $60 for Sunday for adults
$20 for Friday, $60 for Saturday, $40 for Sunday for 12-18 YRS or Youth 5th kyu and up
Kid’s classes on Saturday: $20 per class (9:10 - 10:10 am, 10:20 - 11:20 am)
Drop in per class: $20

Pizza dinner on Friday at the Aikidaily dojo: $20 (Aikidaily is 5-minute drive from the venue)
Sushi dinner on Saturday at the Aikidaily dojo: $35 (Aikidaily is 5-minute drive from the venue)
Dojo B&B: $20 a night
Accommodations In true gasshuku style, accommodations are available at the Aikidaily dojo and will include breakfast. Come and sleep on the mats and commune with fellow practitioners.

Please register through the link below. After finishing the registration process, you will need to send an e-transfer with your registration fee to rie.babin@aikidaily.com. Please add your name and the word Shochugeiko to the e-transfer message. Once we receive your payment, your registration will be confirmed by email.
