Join us for a special midnight training to welcome 2026 on December 31st! 

Etsunen Geiko is traditionally practiced at the Aikido World Headquarters, Hombu Dojo, in Tokyo to mark the transition into the new year. 

The class is from 11:30 pm to 12:30 am followed by a toast after the class with snacks and refreshments.

Our teens will be hosting the kids under our supervision. All donations will go to support future training events for our young leaders.

Parents get a little break and the kids get to have a lot of fun!

The movie will be played in the dojo, so that we have lots of room and space will be limited to 20 kids. This is a great opportunity for all the kids to meet outside of class, eat some snacks together, socialize and create stronger connections. We will provide the popcorn, homemade lemonade, take time to play games and watch a show.

Drop off for movie nights is after 6:15 pm. Pick up is between 8:30 and 9:00 pm.

Movie nights are by donation.

Girls-Only Aikido Event

A special free event for girls and women of all ages — from age 5 and up!
Come experience Aikido together in a welcoming, supportive environment that connects our community across generations. Current students are encouraged to bring friends, sisters, moms, or anyone curious to try Aikido for the first time.

It includes Aikido class, Game time, Circle time, and Demonstration.

All levels welcome. No experience needed!

6-Week Adult Beginner’s Aikido Class

Curious about Aikido but not sure where to start? Our Adult Beginner’s Class is the perfect way to try it out in a welcoming, supportive environment. Over six weeks, you’ll learn the foundations of Aikido—posture, movement, and basic techniques—while building confidence, improving fitness, and reducing stress.

No experience or equipment is necessary. Just wear loose clothing that covers the knees and elbows, and bring an open mind.

Dates: November 5 – December 10
Schedule: Wednesdays, 7:00–8:00 pm
Cost: $100 for 6 classes

What is Aikido?

Aikido is a traditional none-competitive Japanese martial art that focuses on blending and re-directing your partner's energy to create a positive outcome. Individuals work at their own pace in a cooperative and harmonious environment.

What to wear?

Loose fitting clothes with long sleeves and long pants are ideal.

If you have a uniform, you are welcome to wear it.

Please make sure to remove all jewelry and keep your nails trimmed for safety.
