We are super pleased to bring to Squamish this unique way to ring in the New Year direct from the Aikikai World Headquarters in Japan.

Every year, the Aikikai World Headquarters hosts a very special tradition called "Etsunen Geiko" (year-end practice). Aikido practitioners gather from far and wide to train together during the last half hour of the year and first half hour of the next. After class they celebrate the start of the year with light snacks and Japanese sake.

Change of schedule for the kids classes starting in January

A new class schedule will start January 2018..

Our 8-12 years old classes is full, so we will be dividing it up in the new year. The 5 pm class will be for 8-9 years and we will add a class from 6 pm for ages 10-13 years. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the schedule change, please speak to Sensei.

The Monday 5pm class will run for a full hour starting in January, since the areal silks class will now be on Tuesdays.

We have added a teen class on Thursdays from 6:30-7:45 for 14 years and up. We will add more teen classes over the summer or in the fall of 2018.
